A little mini-thought regarding prayer...
One of the things that we hear over and over all day long whenever we are in the West Bank (starting at 4 am) is the Muslim call to prayer. It is broadcasted in the streets and it calls the people to come and pray (women are not required, men are only required on Friday's, although it is encouraged all week long). It is amazing to me how dedicated these people are to prayer and to what they believe. How WELL they know what they believe!
It made me think of the old Casting Crowns song "What If His People Prayed?" And what if we dedicated ourselves to prayer in the way that the Muslims do? Honest to goodness, on your knees, in the devil's face prayer...
It is a powerful thing when Christians stand in the authority of Christ and stand against evil, against the things that would cover up the truth... We've missed the boat on this huge.
